Leopard sharks

Leopard sharks in the Maldives—frequently referred to as zebra sharks —are iconic, docile bottom-dwellers celebrated for their striking patterns and peaceful nature. Leopard shark is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List due to global overfishing and reef degradation. We often see them at Aquarium and Disco dive sites.
